✒ How much error will there be under normal GPS operation?

Release Date:2019-05-07 13:26
GPS can be maintained within 25 meters without interference from SA signals.

GPS is a signal transmitted by 24 satellites operating on a high orbit about 20,000 kilometers above the ground.
Calculate the position of the receiver on the earth by triangulation.

Because of the fear that GPS will be used by terrorists, the US Department of Defense specifically added "SA (Selective Availability)" to the signal, resulting in an error of up to 100 meters.
However, in May 2000, the US President announced that he would completely stop using SA in 2005, and the accuracy of GPS will be greatly improved.
